FAQ's - Lash Lift

WHAT IS A LASH LIFT?

A Lash Lift is a chemical treatment that can lift, curl or straighten, and lengthen your own natural lashes, making them appear thicker and fuller and giving you a fresh, bright-eyed look. It is a revolutionary update on the lash perm, using silicone pads instead of perm rollers to avoid the outdated 'dolly look' and provide you with a dramatic yet natural- looking enhancement.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

The Lash Lift takes 45 minutes to an hour in a safe and pain-free process.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST & HOW OFTEN CAN I REPEAT IT?

The Lash Lift usually lasts for 6-8 weeks depending on the individual's routine and lash growl rate. While there is no need for maintenance appointments belween treatments, aclivities such as swimming, using harsh producls and heat can cause the Lash Lift to drop prematurely.

A minimum of 4 weeks must pass after one Lash Lift treatment before another Lash Lift can be performed. Generally, however, the process is repeated after approximately 2 months to lift any new lash growth from the roots.

WILL THE LASH LIFT DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?

No. The Lash Lift as performed by our expertly skilled technicians at the Brow Studio will not resultin any damage to your own natural eyelashes.

DOES THE LASH LIFT PROCEDURE HURT?

No. The Lash Lift procedure is totally pain-free. While your eyes must be closed for the duration of the procedure which may initially feel strange to you, this provides you with a good opportunity to relax.

COULD I HAVE A REACTION TO THE LOTION?

While reactions to the lotion are rare, they are possible. As a result, we at The Brow Studio recommend that you drop by for a quick and simple patch-test at least 24 hours before your treatment. The patch test involves a couple of drops of lotion placed behind your ear for 15 minutes to assess if any imtation, redness, or itching occurs over the following 24 hours. This will determine whether you have a sensitivity to the lotion.

WHAT CONDITIONS SHOULD I BE AWARE OF TO DETERMINE WHETHER I AM A GOOD CANDIDATE?

While it is not possible to list every possible contraindication, please note that any of the following should be disclosed prior to your treatment:

  • Eye infections
  • Prescription eye drops
  • Recent eye surgery
  • Pregnancy - during the first trimester
  • Dry Eye Syndrome
  • Eyes that tend to be affected by symptoms of hay fever
  • Very sensitive eyes, watery eyes
  • Conjunctivitis Styes
  • Medication use - thyroxin

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY LASH LIFT?

Consider a patch test as outlined above, arrive makeup-free and ensure that you remove your contact lenses if you wear any before the procedure for the duration of the treatment.

HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY LASHES AFTER MY LASH LIFT PROCEDURE?

Not much aftercare is required. However, you will receive a comprehensive set of instructions upon the completion of your treatment to ensure that you can take proper care of your Lash Lift and enjoy your results for as long as possible.

IS THERE ANY OTHER TREATMENT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND TO COMPLEMENT MY LASH LIFT?

Lash Botox is another treatment at the Brow Studio that perfectly complements your Lash Lift. Lash Botox is a mask of hydrolyzed keratin, argan oil, and vitamins that nourishes your lashes and stimulates growth. This mask infuses your natural lashes with keratin to make them smoother, thicker and fuller for maximum results. As a bonus, this treatment strengthens your lashes.

Lash Botox treatments ideally take place in 2-3 procedures over 3-4 week intervals, so if you opt to complement your Lash Lift with Lash Botox, the mask can be conveniently applied in the same session as your Lash Lift. Your appointment will take only 10-15 extra minutes and this will result in the ultimate lash upgrade.

I'm not Perfect but my Lashes are.
