FAQ's - Eyelash Extensions

While there are multiple techniques used to apply eyelash extensions, in essence, eyelash extensions are synthetic lashes applied to your own natural lashes to make them look fuller and longer. These lashes are glued to the base of your natural lash by a highly skilled technician with care not to cause any damage. WHAT ARE CLASSIC LASHES?

The biggest difference is in the result you can achieve with each - Classic Lashes won't add much volume but will add length. WHAT ARE HYBRID LASHES?

Hybrid is an application method that provides fabulous fullness and gorgeous texture while strategically combining our Classic and Volume lash applications across your lash line. They're the perfect choice for anyone torn between our Classic and Volume lash.

WHAT ARE VOLUME LASHES?

It is a technique used to achieve a fuller, fuer look. With this method, anywhere between 2-8 ultra-fine extensions are fanned out and applied to a single natural lash.

This is the perfect solution if you have sparse lashes or gaps.

WHAT ARE HOLLYWOOD LASHES?

Hollywood Lashes is the lightest lash to make a fan with up to 16-20 lash extensions.

Bold and beautiful lashes which definitely lives up to its Hollywood name, and creates a super full and glamorous look.

WHAT'S BETTER CLASSIC, HYBRID, VOLUME OR HOLLYWOOD LASHES?

Any! It really does depend on the look you want to achieve. If you are lucky enough to have thick natural lashes you may decide to get classic lashes, so your look isn't too dramatic. Should you not have naturally thick lashes, you may prefer to choose Hybrid Lash Extensions to get the best of both worlds. Of course, 5D/6D/7D eyelash extensions and other volumes will likely give you lashes you won't stop looking at.

HOW LONG WILL MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?

As each client is different, your lashes will generally last as long as your natural lash cycle provided they are well taken care of. This means that most eyelash extensions will last up to 3 or 4 weeks after they have been applied.

When you wake up in the morning and notice an eyelash or two that have fallen out and are resting on your cheeks, it is important to understand that this is a normal process. Like every other hair on your body, eyelashes are perpetually moving through a natural growth cycle.

WHAT IS A REFILL & WHAT IS THE PROCESS INVOLVED?

Once your natural lash grows out or sheds the lash extension that has been applied, we can reapply a new extension to maintain the look of your lashes. We do not remove the remaining extensions, but simply apply new extensions to all newly grown natural lashes.

This makes the process faster than the initial application.

HOW SHOULD I TAKE CARE OF MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

You will need to keep your lashes dry for at least 24 hours after extensions have been applied. This will allow the adhesive to bond properly and prevent the lash extensions from falling off prematurely. It's also important to avoid oil-based products you use around your eyes as these can break the adhesive bond of the lash extensions.

Brushing your lashes daily will also help to remove any dirt that may have built up on the lashes.

CAN I WEAR EYE MAKE-UP & MASCARA WITH MY LASH EXTENSIONS?

Yes, you absolutely can but it is recommended that you use only oil-free makeup and mascara that have been made to use with lash extensions. Any oil-based product can interfere with the adhesive bond of your extensions and cause them to shed sooner. You'll probably find though that mascara won't be necessary with your fuller, longer lashes.

WILL EYELASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?

Eyelash extensions will not damage your lashes when applied properly by a qualified and skilled technician and if you are committed to taking proper care of them. Lash extensions can be damaging to your natural lash when they are applied incorrectly or when unsuitable extensions are applied to your natural lashes.

An extension that is too heavy for your natural lash to hold, for example, can cause your natural lash to break.

CAN I SWIM, SHOWER, EXERCISE OR VISIT A SPA WHILE WEARING EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

We do ask you to minimize the chance of wetting the extensions for the first 24 hours of wear. Thereafter, the adhesive used to apply your eyelash extensions is secure enough to allow you to get right back to your routine. However, keeping away from extensive contact with steam such as saunas and use caution when having acid/peels, laser or hydroxyl treatments.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

To maximise your allotted treatment time, it is important to arrive with a clean and make-up free face.

This will save us time cleaning o any eye make-up that could get in the way of our technician's work. The appointment is very relaxing. During the process, you will be lying down with your eyes closed while our technicians work their magic - prepare to be pampered. For the smoothest possible application process, avoid caffeinated drinks a few hours before your appointment as these can cause rapid eye movement.

WILL MY LASH EXTENSIONS LOOK FAKE?
