WHAT IS DARK LIP CORRECTION?
Dark Lip Colour Correction was created for the most natural looking and long-lasting colour improvement for discoloured, dark lips or lips with intense dark spots (natural lip hyperpigmentation, dark spots, smoker's lips, etc)
IS IT THE SAME AS LIP BLUSH FOR LIPS WITH HYPERPIGMENTATION?
Yes it is and also Dark Lip Colour Correction enhances the natural shape and change the dark colour of your lips to the lighter tone (as light as naturally it possible for your skin) giving them needed boost and symmetry. Dark Lip Colour Corection helps to add more of the light, peachy or pinkie tone on your lips which will stay for long time - approximately 2 years.
WHAT ARE THE COLOUR CHOICES FOR LIPS?
For Dark Lip Colour Correction procedure, there are no colour options. The main goal is to achieve lighter colour at the result after healing lime. Your artist will choose the warmest colour for your lips (darker lips - warmer and brighter colours will be used). First 5 days after the procedure, lip colour will appear intense and dramatically bright and the colour won't stay longer than it, after first 2 weeks the difference will be noliceable, colour will be 60% lighter from that colour shade at the first day of procedure.
DOES DARK LIP COLOR CORRECTION PROCEDURE HURT?

HOW LONG DOES DARK LIP COLOUR CORRECTION LAST?
Colour Correction will last 1.5 - 2 years before requiring a colour refresh. After that time lips will go back to the natural dark colour you had before the procedure or previous dark spots will be visible again.
Touch up every 12-18 months is recommended to keep your lips on point.
WHAT FACTORS WILL CAUSE THE COLOUR RETENTION TO FADE FASTER?
- Oily skin
- Retinol or Vitamin C
- Iron deficiency
- Sun exposure
- Exfoliants
- Exposure to salt water
HOW LONG IS THE HEALING PROCESS?
Outer healing process will take 4-6 days. Lip pigment colour may fade up to 60% after the first 5 days. While healing your lip colour will look spotty because your lip skin will peel off and a few days later, the colour will be more even. This is due to oxidation of the pigment and the regeneration of the skin. Inner healing time will take 2-3 weeks. Final result you can expect in 4-5 weeks after procedure. Colour will be light and soft.
WHAT IS THE LOOK OF THE LIPS RIGHT AFTER DARK LIP COLOUR CORRECTION PROCEDURE?
Your lips will look swollen and slightly larger than normal (like lip fillers). It is very individual and sometimes lips not getting swollen at all. The pigment and lip colour will look darker (brighter) initially, like a lipstick. The size of your lips will get back to normal approximately in 2-4 hours after procedure and the colour will fade up to 50% within the first 4-6 days.
Right after the procedure lips normally feel dry and tender to the touch.
SECOND TOUCH UP SESSION OF DARK LIP COLOUR CORRECTION
Touch Up for Dark Lip Colour Correction procedure is mandatory and required to be done in 6-8 weeks after the initial lip session. Pigment has to be reinforced, that's why results after first session are not final and always required in second session for colour improving. The final result of the procedure will only be after the Second Touch Up, that's why it mandatory to follow up.
WHAT IF I PLAN ON GETTING FILLERS AND/OR BOTOX, CAN I STILL GO AHEAD WITH MY LIP COLOUR CORRECTION?
If you plan to get lip fillers and/or botox, please book at least 3 weeks after your initial colour correction session and then wait 4 weeks for your lip filler and botox to settle before you book your second session. Should you have your fillers and botox done already, please ensure that it has settled and healed.
CAN I BOOK MICROBLADING/OMBRÈ POWDER BROWS AND LASH LINE ON THE SAME DAY AS MY LIP COLOUR CORRECTION?
Absolutely! Keep in mind that each session does take approximately 2-3 hours so you'll need to plan to be at the studio for most of the day.
