BROW ENHANCEMENT
PRE-PROCEDURAL GUIDELINES
To ensure the best results and a smooth procedure, please adhere to the following pre-care instructions. Your skin must be healthy and not in the process of healing before your appointment.
PRE-TREATMENT CARE INSTRUCTIONS
-
Medical Conditions: Please inform your technician of any medical conditions or medications you are taking prior to your procedure.
-
Botox & Fillers: If you have had Botox or Fillers in the forehead, temple, or eye area, ensure you are fully healed at least 4 weeks (1 month) prior to your appointment.
-
Skin Treatments: Avoid facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and other intense skin treatments for 4 weeks prior to your procedure.
-
Active Ingredients: Discontinue the use of Retin-A, retinol derivatives, or products containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) or Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA) at least 72 hours before your appointment.
-
Supplements: Avoid taking Omega Oils, Vitamin E, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B6, St. John’s Wort, and Ginkgo Biloba for 1 week prior to your procedure, as these can thin the blood.
-
Medications: Avoid anti-inflammatories and blood thinners for 72 hours before your procedure. Always consult your doctor before discontinuing any prescribed medication.
-
Vaccinations: This treatment can only be performed 7 days before or 7 days after a Covid-19 vaccine dose.
-
Grooming: Do not wax, thread, or tint your brows for 1 week before your procedure.
-
Sun Exposure: Avoid tanning and direct sun exposure for 1 week before your appointment. Please do not arrive with a sunburned face.
-
Alcohol & Painkillers: Do not drink alcohol or take Aspirin/Ibuprofen for 24 hours prior to your appointment.
-
Caffeine: Do not consume coffee or any form of caffeine on the day of your treatment.
-
Cosmelan: If you have had a Cosmelan peel, you must wait 4 months and be off Cosmelan 2/Hydroquinone products before proceeding.
-
WHAT TO EXPECT
-
Initial Appearance: Immediately after the procedure, your brows will appear up to 40% darker and more defined. This is normal and will soften during the 7–10 day healing process.
-
Healing Phase: You may experience minor redness, swelling, or tenderness immediately following the session, which typically subsides within an hour.
-
Color Loss: It is normal to lose approximately 1/3 of the initial color during the healing cycle. The final color will be apparent approximately 30 days after your procedure.
NB: IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The Brow Enhancement procedure is a two-visit treatment. A touch-up appointment is imperative and should be scheduled 4 to 6 weeks after your initial session. This session fills in any gaps where the pigment may not have been fully absorbed and ensures the longevity of your results.
